Welcome to Pulaski Central High School.  The school is located at 500 Chandler St., Somerset, KY, and one of the fifteen schools in the Pulaski School System.  Pulaski Central was established in August 1995 to assist students in grades 9-12 who have experienced problems with truancy, under performing academically, and/or general adjustment problems.  We have an enjoyable, safe, and friendly environment for students, families, and staff to learn and work.

Our staff provides educational choices and resources for any and all students to be successful.  Students are encouraged to take responsibility for their own life and to make decisions that chart their own direction.  To accomplish this, our staff identifies the differences in students while developing a learner-centered curriculum for each student to be successful. Students attending Pulaski Central will experience an innovative, rich, and more educationally meaningful curriculum which aides in preventing these students from dropping out.  This may include on line instruction, independent study, service learning, and /or work studies.  Pulaski Central is not a traditional high school.  Our learning environment is planned to each students' needs.  In essence, what "counts" is not the time spent in the school building, but the amount of learning each child masters.  Students engaged in learning get more out of their educational time as they face their own difficulties.
